For Marine Loading Arm

GREEN
Connecting area and Operating area:
This is the real area in which the loading arm can move freely;
during loading or unloading.

YELLOW
Warning area: When entering the warning area, pre-alarms (audible, visible)
are given to draw operators attention. Stop loading or unloading and try to
move the vessel back into the Operating area.

RED
Emergency release area: Area in which Emergency Release Coupling
(ERC is activated and fìnally will break. Movements outside of the limit line will cause
mechanical damage to the loading arms.

ALARMS

Range alarm and monitoring for safe operation of marine loading arm is achieved by means of range alarm/system.
BARETTI offers various type of alarm systems which may be used for local operator warning: valve and /or pump switching, remote signalling and/or automatic disconnecting of the loading arm from the vessel with the Emergency Release Coupling.

BARETTI`s range alarm system basically comprise following alarm functions:

SINGLE ALARM SYSTEM
Featuring one alarm function for inboard and outboard movement and slewing movements.

DUAL ALARM SYSTEM
Featuring two independent alarms for in- and outboard as well as for slewing movement;
tipically used in combination with ERC.

FULL RANGE MONITORING ALARM SYSTEM
Featuring continuous full range sensors allowing remote settigs of alarm limits,
selection of different alarm-settings.

Standard Alarm System including:

• Weather-proof housing mounted on central jetty location
• Single alarm proximity sensors for 3 arm movements
• Acoustic alarm signal; horn
