| Side to side |
Single or multiple pass design.
Typical use is in fouling services and heat transfer sections.
| Disc and doughnuts |
Same use as side to side trays.
Composed by an annular area and a central disc normally overlapping each other.
| Angle |
Angle trays are formed by a serie of L shaped trusses disposed in parallel rows, with the angle facing upwards. Normally each layer is rotated 90° from the next layers.
Mostly used in heat transfer sections.
| Shed Trays |
Wider than angle trays can be used in quench or slurry zones.
Tipically used in quench towers of Ethylene units and in FCC slurry pumparound.
All layers are parallel each other.
Sheds normally overlap the ones of the adjacent layer.
